Today on my walk I ended up in the same pine forest that charmed me a few weeks back. Open pine forests have always been my favourite type of forest, and now I finally realised why. A forest like this is obviously man-made so I’m not entirely pleased with myself that I should prefer this to a natural forest, but the fact remains that I like it when things are organised and forests don’t come much more organised than this. When people ask me why I like photography, I tell them that it’s my way of bringing order in chaos… I pick out tidy details and leave out the mess. Ever wondered why I like shallow DOF with my flowers?

And Föne is still throwing surprises at me. Like this old trough, there in the middle of the forest. From the times of small scale farming and cows roaming in the forest?
