When the cranes are not on the golf course, they are on the field behind my house. I counted about 40 from my living room window, but I can’t shoot them from this side of the field, the angle is all kinds of wrong. So I approached them from the other side and got surprisingly close, I think it’s because the wind was really bad and it made a lot of noise when it got hold of the tarp covering a warehouse behind me. It looked like the cranes were reacting more to the racket from the warehouse, than to me.

Not the best light but I don’t care, it’s always nice to spend some time with the cranes. Unfortunately I happened to be there during their siesta, so most of the cranes were asleep. I did get to see a brief moment of feather display though, I’ll take it, thank you very much!
