It’s been a very warm March so far, and the past couple of days it’s been extremely warm. Combine the warm front with a blazing sun and the effects are immediate – just look at all the dark patches. Only the highest peak of Ånnfjället is still completely covered in snow but the rest of the mountain is melting. As are the exposed parts in the birch forest. We should get some refill this weekend but nowhere near enough to restore what has been lost. And with the temperatures still around zero… fingers crossed that it’s really gonna snow, and not rain!
