A friend is visiting me, it’s nice to have company up on a mountain. We hiked up to Kappruet but once again the weather was playing tricks and we even got rained on, on a day when it wasn’t supposed to be any of that. But even if I keep complaining about the weather, the truth is that I don’t mind so much. I think it’s a benefit of having the cabin, it’s easier to think that there’s always the next time when this is not an isolated week, rather, I can come back here as often as I feel like.

The view to the Anådalen valley from the top of Kappruet is magnificent so I shot a panorama, despite the light (or the lack of it). The route we took up is different from the one I took the first time I was up there, and I was really happy to see a new section of the Kappruet plateau. All these dead pines and roots, sticking out from the green scenery like skeletons of a time long past. Wonderful!
