Does November ever end?

November. Almost every year, it’s the photographic low point and this year is no exception. It’s hard to get less inspired than I am right now, so I’m really hoping for some miracles in the next few weeks… firstly, that the snow would finally arrive, and secondly, that my new camera will arrive. The only actual date I’ve seen for the 6D is 10 December and that’s B&H, so I hope it’s the same date in Sweden. Stands to reason that it would arrive before Christmas in any case.

Anyway, while I wait for these two things to happen, I went to the zoo. It was a dark day so it was almost hopeless to get anything meaningful done with the camera, so when I was up at the wolf enclosure and the keeper came to feed them, I decided to chat with her instead of even trying to take pictures. I was the only visitor watching the feeding… a half rainy Saturday after salary day one month before Christmas is apparently not a very popular day to visit the zoo!

But the thing with the zoo is, there’s always something. This time I spent a while with the moose, because for the first time I got a good look at the bull with the fine antlers. It definitely renewed my admiration for king of the forest… I wouldn’t call them beautiful animals, but there’s something majestic about their calm way of conducting themselves.
