The cows are out on pasture! This farmer I have across the valley, he seems to wait quite long every year until he lets his cattle go out on the field. Elsewhere I’ve seen cows for some weeks now.

I like cows. I may be living in a small village and surrounded by forests and fields, but there’s nothing that says ”countryside” quite like a herd of cows. I have a lot of fond memories from childhood summers spent near or on farms… from those days when keeping five cows was still a viable option and the cows were milked by hand. One thing I don’t miss though is the taste of unprocessed milk. I drank it when it was offered, but given the choice, I’ll take the pasteurised version, every time!

My 365 project has reached 150! What a load of crap it’s been… some of it even worse than today’s picture. And no, this really doesn’t work as a square crop but I said that I would use square crops in May so this is it.
