Copenhagen

I had an afternoon flight home, which left the morning for me to get re-acquainted with Copenhagen. And a funny thing happened … I felt nothing. Zero. Zip. I thought it would be nice to see it again, but as I was walking around, I just couldn’t figure out for the life of me, why I thought it would be nice. It was the same old buildings, same old streets, same old tourist attractions, cafés, and shops selling me things that I didn’t need or want. And then there were people. Lots of people. Tourists.

But one good thing came out of it – I can cross off London from my travel list. It would be exactly the same as CPH, except in English, so there’s no point.

When I was on my way back to the airport, I felt nothing but grateful that I will soon move to Ljusnedal. The only aimless walking I plan to do is on the mountains where it’s actually a nice surprise to see as much as one other person and where the trees grow free and not in plastic bags and where nobody tries to sell me anything and most of all, where there are no streets and no buildings and no traffic and where the horizon is where it should be – so far in the distance that it will take me a whole day to get there.
