Weird boat by the lake. No idea what it’s used for, there’s a saw kind of contraption in the fore with a lot of reeds and waterlily pads hanging from it. Maybe it’s for removing the plants to make open water, considering that this lake is starting to get tough on propellers. On the other…
This the first time I’ve seen the farmer harvest hay twice from ”my” field. In the previous summers he’s waited until late summer to do the harvest but now he came around already in July so he got a second harvest as well.
It’s still warm and sunny, I went cycling. Shorts were ok but I quickly found I needed a long sleeved shirt to protect my torso from the draft when the speed goes up, that’s the difference between summer warm and autumn warm. Anyway, I took myself to Knutnäsudden although I knew that the water level…
A few days into September, a few days into autumn. The trees are starting to look the part, but it’s very warm. T-shirt warm. You can only feel the autumn when you see the mist in the morning, after a cold night.
So here’s how much of my 365 pictures happen. I found a little blue dot on the map, was surprised to see it because I’ve looked at the map of Föne about a million times and I’ve never seen this blue dot before. So of course I had to go there and check it out.…
My white waterlily spot still keeps giving… no more flowers, but some of the pads are turning colour quite nicely.
I was determined to create a blurry cow picture today, but of course when you most need a cow, they are nowhere to be seen. Luckily there was a really nice rainbow instead so I got my 365 anyway. When I was almost back at home, I saw the sun break through a gap in…
I didn’t quite get around to creating that blurry cow picture that I speculated about earlier, but I made a blurry china aster instead. This is harder than doing straight macro! I took no less than 55 (!) frames with varying compositions and degree of shake so this is completely a hit and miss technique. I’ll…
As usual, with nothing better to do, go to Järvzoo. And am I ever happy I did… I’ve never seen the wolverines put up such a show before! I’ve seen them play before, but not as long time as today, and not so close. It was a very overcast day though so the shutter speeds weren’t…
A lot of fog this morning, it didn’t clear until towards lunchtime. I didn’t get out early enough to catch the fog down in the forest, but it was still lingering on Vallåsen (the big hill next to Föne) when I did my walk.
