Cabin details

I couldn’t think of anything to do today, with the railing in place and two coats of primer on the storage door… so I just did some basic maintenance on my bike, took it for a small ride and checked out the neighbourhood. It’s actually something I’ve never done before, looking at the other cabins in this area. I found out that my cabin is just about the smallest one and came to the conclusion that either people are not afraid of taking out mega-loans or that they have found money growing trees because some of the cabins look downright luxurious, with a big main building, a big guest cabin, a small guest cabin, a garage, a shed, and playhouse… I don’t think a normal double income family can afford all that either. So I came back to my little cabin without a guest cabin, garage, shed, or a playhouse… and was happy anyway. It’s starting to look really nice and I’ve done it myself! (Not the actual construction, but the stuff after that, obviously.)

You can see the small railing between the wall and the column. Looking at it like this, I really need that upside V to fill the gap.

And here’s the door after the second coat of primer, as you can see it looks a whole lot better than in Friday’s post:
