A bunch of us from work participated in Blodomloppet in Hudiksvall, a running/walking event organised by the Red Cross to raise awareness of the importance of donating blood. And all the while I was doing it, I kept thinking, how weird. That hundreds – thousands – of people would gather together and then just walk 5 km. While I wholeheartedly support blood donations (I would be a donator myself but my blood values are so low that they don’t want it), the activity as such appeared utterly pointless to me. Human behaviour… I’ve forgotten how it works.
