It’s April already! Warm and sunny, almost no snow left, ice melting. So my least favourite month is two months long this year, but I take consolation from the spring flower shoots that came up today (I checked in the morning, there was nothing – in the afternoon, two shoots). Time will tell what flowers those are; I planted a whole lot different bulbs in the autumn so now I just have to wait and see. Exciting!

I walked to Forsänget today. The road is in awful condition, it’s just polished ice, but there’s no snow or ice left in the forest so I followed the road on the forest side whenever possible. It’s a bit heavier to walk through the soft moss, but it’s safer than the curling track that pretends to be a road!
