Well, I did get out after all. In search of good aurora viewpoints, I took the small dirt road (emphasis on ”dirt” – you can’t drive it by car) that leads from Föne to the foot of the old abandoned ski slope at Vallåsen, which is the mountain that obscures the winter sun for my house. Will be interesting to see at which time in the winter the sun will be far enough in the west to show up itself. Anyway, I didn’t find anything at all suitable for northern views, or any other direction for that matter. Then I sized up the slope (three times the size of Furubacken, the slope in Loos) and decided to walk up, just to punish myself for being so lazy in the past weeks. The prize for my effort was the sunset, so I got to see the sun anyway!
