Not so super moon

Today is full moon and you can’t look at any news site or social media without coming across hype about a super moon and some useful tips on how to see it. However, nobody has any advice on how to remove the thick cloud cover that we’ve had today, so I will just have to wait until January 2018 for the next super moon. Yes, that’s 2018. Not 2034 as NASA would have you believe. There are different ways of calculating exactly how super a moon is!

Anyhoo. Knowing that it would be overcast today, I shot the moon yesterday. There were some thin clouds around and it actually helped. Without the clouds, it would just be a bright moon against a pitch black sky, and let’s face it – you’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all!
