Harebells

I painted two out of the remaining three windows before a late lunch, and then drove to Djupdalsvallen to finish off my vacation with a waffle. I’m a little bit shocked but I think I’m getting over waffles… or at least the whipped cream on top. The coffee was good though, as usual.

My knee is feeling a bit better today, it’s not ok but it’s hurting a lot less than before. I’m able to walk normally! So I put the knee to the test and walked around with the camera pack. Not very far, granted, but a long hike is out of the question. The first spot I visited was just  for the flowers, I was looking for a particular orchid I found here a few years ago but I didn’t see it now. I was determined to shoot something macro though, and these harebells were very nice. Well, strictly speaking, they’re a subspecies Campanula rotundifolia ssp. groenlandica, it only grows in the mountains. And by the way, it’s the 200th picture in my 365 project!

Then I went to a spot which I’ve visited at least three times before but never had any sunlight. Now I got the light, but as it turned out, it was almost backlight and was getting more backlit every minute. In any case, now I got the pictures and they’re not really what I expected, but at least I’ve seen it now. I took an HDR and a panorama though, but since I don’t have any tools here for compiling them, I need to wait until tomorrow to see if they work better.
