Waning gibbous

When I opened the door this morning to go to work, I was greeted by the setting moon. I missed the full moon this weekend because of the overcast weather but this waning gibbous didn’t look so ugly as it was hanging low in the sky, so I went back in and grabbed my new Tamron zoom and tripod and did some landscape work @ 600mm. This is a full frame, I didn’t want to crop off the empty space on top because I wanted to preserve the actual scale provided by 600mm.

But to get sharp pictures with slow shutter speeds… 10 sec timer, mirror lock-up, and hold your breath!
