We haven’t exactly been spoiled with cloudless nights this year, so when we finally had one of them, I had to make use of it. It’s incredibly difficult to find any good night sky shooting locations within a reasonable distance (which for me is a few minutes’ drive) and the one I tried today didn’t solve the problem. I drove to the top of Vallåsen, from there you get a relatively unobstructed view to south (towards Färila) and a completely unobstructed view to north (towards Föne), if you don’t mind the deforestation. And then of course there is light pollution all around, and five radio masts to avoid. So a pretty hopeless location, but I had to try it to be sure.

Today’s 365 is looking over Föne and the second picture is towards Färila.
