Not so shocking

Well guess what? I did make those tests to see how I’m affected by the shutter shock. And you know what I found out? I’m not. Affected. By shutter shock. I took a range of exposures from 1/20 to 1/200 and not one of them was soft. Then I tested with the anti-shock setting in the camera and I can’t really say if it does anything or not. And then finally I took a test picture handholding the camera and even that was sharp! Which only leaves me to conclude that the softness I’ve seen so far from this camera is caused by me, so all I need to do is to figure out how to keep the camera steady enough to get sharp pictures.

I was so sure it was the shutter shock… I have a high keeper ratio shooting handheld with DSLRs so when I saw that the pictures were soft, I had to blame the camera. Shame on me!
