The last wall

You’d think that I would be tired after a 14 km hike on Saturday, but surprisingly I had energy to spare. So I took a shovel and finally dealt with the pile of gravel I’ve had lying by the cabin, and having done that, I sprayed the remaining wall with iron sulphate which means that this eternity project of mine is FINALLY finished! I could hardly believe it, so when I saw that I had missed a couple of spots the last time, it was almost fitting. But then I will only need a paintbrush to cover those small spots and I’m done. Next year’s project will be to paint the window and door frames but that won’t be nearly as hard as balancing on a high ladder with a clumsy spray canister hanging from the shoulder. I’m not all done with the high ladder though… I need to figure out what to do with the bargeboards. Treat them with iron sulphate or paint them? And how in the devil am I supposed to reach up there without killing myself on the ladder? But no rush. I don’t have to deal with this until next year.

Särvfjället
View to the second peak

On Sunday on the way home I stopped at Särvfjället again. I really do like it… I mean, how about reaching a peak in less than 20 minutes? Because the closest peak (out of those about 10) is really that close. And then hike down to the valley in the middle of the massif and go up the second peak. This is ”mountains for beginners” but I was really having fun, I still can’t believe I waited so many years until my first visit!
