So this is it, first snow! It was still snowing when I got up, but the temperature was above freezing so it wouldn’t last for long. I ate my breakfast and watched the roe deer run back and forth in the field, it seemed like they were excited about the snow as well. They don’t think about the hardships of winter ahead, they just live in the moment and in this moment the world was transformed.
I went for a walk after breakfast, headed down to the flood plains to shoot the combination of water, autumn colours and snow. It never fails!
The snowing stopped while I was out and for a moment I thought it started raining instead. Then I realised that the dripping sound I heard all around me was the snow melting off the trees and it was happening quite fast so I was right about going out in the morning.
Now I’m just hoping that it would start raining. It’s not that I don’t like the snow, but I still have summer tyres so I’m wondering how I’m going to get to work tomorrow!
