Weekend done

Since I have a long drive back home, the plan was to do a trip in the morning, have lunch and then drive off and check out a spot along the way. So I took my bike to the Mittån delta in the Messlingen lake and it was just as remembered – difficult to access and hard to shoot. It even started to rain so I did a bit of a rush job with the only photogenic thing I found, an old barn or shed or whatever with a very nice turf roof. The door looked like it was new (but done to look old) so the shed is still in use… in the hurry to get away from there, I forgot to look through the window!

I took the road thru Vemdalen on the way home. Distance-wise, it actually only adds 6 km to the route as compared to driving via Sveg (but the road isn’t as good, now that the Vänsjö stretch is finally fixed) but the scenery is nicer. There’s one big waterfall on the way, Sångbackfallet a few km from Vemdalsskalet. I was there a few years ago but I had sunny weather then, which is not optimal for waterfalls. It was cloudier today but I found that nothing had changed and found only one composition that I hadn’t already done and even that one was only thanks to the wider lens I was using. Well, now I know. No need to climb that steep cliff any more.
